Ali Taleb, P.Eng.
Ali has over 15 years of experience in delivering renewable energy projects in Canada. He has completed over 15 projects ranging from $15M to $500M in capital costs, including 4 renewable energy projects owned 100% by indigenous communities.
Ali’s core field of expertise is on the technical and financial feasibility, as well as the design and construction of renewable and sustainable energy projects. His hands on experience gave him extensive exposure to the construction aspect merged with the multidisciplinary design optimization of various types of hydroelectricity generation projects. He provides access to low-cost energy, market-leading performance, in infrastructure design and operational expertise.
Zaid Al-Chalabi, P.Eng.
Zaid is passionate about sustainability by unlocking value in operations through energy efficiency and accelerating decarbonization through low-carbon electrification. For over 15 years, Zaid has been delivering sustainable energy projects to customers globally. He works directly with utilities and governments providing technical expertise and developing strategies to achieve their energy conservation and carbon reduction targets.
He has evaluated the technical and financial feasibility of energy efficiency and low-carbon electrification projects in the industrial and commercial sectors including mining, forestry, manufacturing, transportation, oil & gas, food & beverage, and data centres. Over the years, he enabled customers in Canada save over 500 GWh of energy per year, equivalent to supplying over 50,000 homes.
In addition, Zaid is a member of several CSA Standards technical committees developing novel standards for benchmarking energy performance of industrial systems and whole facilities including data centres.
Peter Schober, B.Eng.
Peter has over 40 years experience in electrical infrastructure. Peter has extensive experience in hydro including design, construction, maintenance, and management. He designed and owned the McNair Creek facility's electrical equipment and was the client engineer for the entire project from start to finish, which was the only IPP hydro project in BC to be completed on time and under budget. He has been in the small hydro business since 1983.
Peter has been involved with several data centre design and construction projects, as well as had an ownership stake in three of them.
